MAI DULCE – The sweetest festival in Eastern Europe
WHEN: MAY
WHERE: CHISINAU
Would you like sweets? Let yourself be tempted with croissants with rose petal jam and pastries with poppy seeds or pumpkin! The “MAI DULCE” (Sweeter) festival is a culinary tradition of Chisinau, where housewives pay homage to traditional dessert recipes and children who celebrate the start of the summer holidays. The main attractions of the festival are cooking workshops, best dessert competitions and entertainment for adults and children. The festival atmosphere is so charming that you cannot help but be infected with its sweetness. Everyone wears colorful clothes and parents go back to childhood for a day, having fun with their children and gorging themselves on candy. Whatever you choose, Mai Dulce has something to offer you, from traditional Moldovan recipes to international desserts.
Dozens of bakers, fruit producers, artisans, artists, big and small, will come together on May 26, 2019 during the 7th edition of the MAI DULCE festival. So, cakes, jams, honey, dry and dried fruits, nuts, compotes, lemonade, ice cream and many more await you on May 26 at the intersection of Veronica Micle with Vlaicu Pârcălab.
