On May 24 and 25, 2025, in the heart of Chișinău — on the Great National Assembly Square — one of the most anticipated cultural events of the year will take place: the 3rd Festival of Romanian Traditions.
Organized by the Romanian Government through the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova, this event will serve as a true bridge of friendship and cultural unity between the two countries.
Opening hours: from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
A craft passed down from generation to generation
More than 50 folk art artisans from Romania and Moldova will showcase their unique creations and lead traditional craft workshops: wood carving, pottery, leatherwork, folk mask making, icon painting, and other decorative arts.
Among them will be renowned masters such as Florin Constantin Cramariuc (Bucovina), Valentina Acasandrei (Iași), and Pavel Lupaș (Vrancea).

Music that unites
During the two days of the festival, visitors will enjoy a rich musical program featuring popular artists from Romania and Moldova. Headliners include Fuego, Frații Advahov, Natalia Barbu, Feli, Olivia Addams, Holy Molly, Valentin Boghean Band, Pasha Parfeny, and Doinița Gherman.
The audience will also have the chance to discover folk ensembles such as Opincuța, Doinița, Haiducii, Mărțișor, and Romanița.
The Festival of Romanian Traditions is a major cultural event aimed at preserving and promoting elements of intangible heritage through music, crafts, and intercultural dialogue. We invite residents and visitors of Chișinău to join us in celebrating Romanian cultural identity together.
