The weekend means the desire to relax, and today we decided to offer you some ideas where you can escape on the weekend to lesser-known places in Moldova.
1. Criuleni Valley 39 km from Chisinau


Here there is a very picturesque birch forest and a spring with a powerful jet of water. You can go for a 4 to 5 km hike and enjoy the tranquility of the lakeside. The location is on the M21 road, between the municipalities of Boșcana and Hrușova.
2. The village Oxentea in the Dubăsari region: 65 km from Chisinau


A lesser known, but very picturesque village, where you can picnic on the banks of the Dniester. On the route you can also stop at Marcăuți Hill, where you can admire a magnificent view of Lake Dubăsari and where you can see the widest segment of the Dniester in Moldova.
3. The village Vadul-Rașcov, district of Soldănești: 128 km from Chisinau


A corner of paradise on the banks of the Dniester. It is surrounded by forests, springs and scenic spots. It is definitely worth spending the whole day there: visit the Jewish cemetery – the oldest and one of the largest in Europe, the spring with waterfalls on the outskirts of the village, the Socola rock or take a hike in the Poiana-Curatura landscape reserve.
4. The Saharna landscape reserve in Rezina: 107 km from Chisinau


A very picturesque place appreciated by tourists that we see differently every spring. An amazing region of Moldova that needs no introduction.
5. The old church of the village Pohrebea, Dubăsari: 46 km from Chisinau


It is a unique architectural monument and a symbol of resistance. The church needs to be restored, but today it is still full of the scars of war and the mystery of the appearance linked to the last imperial dynasty of Russia. A few hundred meters away, you can walk on the banks of the Dniester.
6. The Temeleuți landscape reserve, Călărași: 72 km from Chişinău


A very picturesque region where the Bâc river has its source. Here you find a very beautiful lake with storks and an old orchard with some strangely shaped trees.
7. The Codrii nature reserve in the village of Lozova, Straseni: 54 km from Chisinau


Discover the oldest forest area in Moldova where you can visit a museum. Here it is important not to uproot the plants and to only travel on the designated path.
8. The oak of Stephen the Great, Codrii in Străseni: 44 km from Chisinau


The hike to the Oak of Stephen the Great between the villages of Căpriana and Scoreni involves taking your backpack with water and snacks and walking through the centuries-old forest near the lake in Scoreni village.
9. The Tigănești forest in the Strășeni region: 50 km from Chișinău


The forest and lake around Tigănești Monastery will offer you perfect peace and quiet after a week of work in the city.
10. Furceni village in the Orhei region: 51 km from Chisinau


A getaway to Furceni allows you to take an easy 7 kilometer hike along the Răut to the village of Trebujeni.
