Dear Guest,

Begin your adventure as you cross the border into Transnistria and arrive in Rybnitsa, then head to Stroentsy, a tranquil village surrounded by rolling hills and scenic vineyards. Here, you can discover the Tower of the Winds, offering spectacular panoramic views of the Dniester Valley, and the historic watermill, a symbol of local craftsmanship and tradition. The Seven Springs complex, with its crystal-clear waters, is the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature in Transnistria. Don’t miss the hidden wooden monastery deep in the forest, a serene spiritual retreat that reflects the region’s rich cultural heritage.

Next, visit Rashkov, one of the oldest and most culturally diverse villages in northern Transnistria. In past centuries, Rashkov was home to large Jewish and German communities, leaving behind a wealth of historical landmarks. Today, visitors can explore Moldova’s largest Jewish and German cemeteries, the remains of an old synagogue, and the Catholic church, one of the oldest in the area. Nearby, the Panska Krynitsa spring is famous for its healing waters and a local legend of unfulfilled love. Adventure seekers will enjoy the climb to Kukuman Stone, offering breathtaking views of the Dniester Valley and the picturesque northern Transnistrian landscape.

This journey highlights the best of Transnistria tourism, combining natural beauty, historical landmarks, and cultural heritage, making it an unforgettable experience in Moldova.

Your journey continues to Kamenca, a charming town known for its scenic river views, 18th to 19th-century architecture, and open-air sculptures from the Soviet period. Once an important trading post, Camenca preserves traces of noble estates and an authentic small-town charm that seems frozen in time.

Finally, your tour returns to Rybnitsa.

The Rybnitsa District was first established on October 12, 1924, as part of the Moldavian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. However, the earliest historical references to Rybnitsa date back to the early 17th century. In 1793, the territory was annexed by the Russian Empire following the Second Partition of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth.

The arrival of the railway in the late 19th century transformed Rybnitsa into a key transport hub, linking road, river, and rail networks. During the Soviet era, rapid industrial development shaped the town’s economy, as new enterprises emerged and modern infrastructure expanded. Today, Rybnitsa remains the largest industrial center in Transnistria, home to major facilities such as the Moldavian Metallurgical Plant and the Rybnitsa Cement Plant, both essential to the regional economy.

As a major administrative and cultural center, Rybnitsa is often regarded as the northern capital of Transnistria. The town preserves the authentic Soviet atmosphere, visible in its monumental architecture, wide avenues, and the imposing Lenin statue in the central square. Visiting Rybnitsa is like stepping into a living museum of Transnistria’s industrial and political history, where time seems to stand still and every street and corner tells its own story.

Explore Rybnitsa to discover a unique combination of history, industry, and Soviet heritage—one of the most fascinating destinations in northern Transnistria.
