Come and discover the secrets of the plant world during guided tours of plant collections from around the world. The botanists of the Chisinau Botanical Garden will be your guides!
Voyages Moldavie in collaboration with the Botanical Garden of Chisinau offer guided tours of the outdoor gardens or greenhouses, throughout the seasons, every week, from Tuesday to Sunday for an educational, cultural and scientific discovery.
Treat yourself to a visit that will adapt to your tastes and interests:
- Excursions on the territory of the outdoor gardens take place between April and November, Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Groups for this excursion cannot exceed 10 people.
- Excursions to the greenhouse complex take place every day between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm throughout the year.
Except Friday, trips take place between 9:00 am and noon. Groups cannot exceed 15 people.
Tours are offered in Romanian or Russian with translation into French or English provided. They are guided by a gardener or specialized gardener from the Botanical Garden. The visits with themes renewed each week, approach the collections of the “living museum” with the gaze of the horticulturalist.
Reservations required 48 hours in advance with our travel agency.

A real living museum
The Chisinau Botanical Garden was founded in 1950 and represents a real living museum which brings together plants from all regions of the globe. The garden has an area of 104 hectares, and the general landscape of the garden represents the relief of Moldova in miniature.
The garden now has around ten thousand species, varieties, forms and cultivated plants, divided by sectors: Alpinarium (50 species), Arboretum (40 families, 106 genera, 560 species), the Moldovan flora (30 species of trees, 18 shrub species, 110 herbaceous species), Pinarium (4 families, 10 genera, 90 species), Rosary (10 species), Floriculture (3000 species), Syringarium (16 species), Tropical and subtropical plants (2550 species), Ornamental sector, Fructuarium, Lianarium and Iridarium.
