Netflix is set to release a captivating documentary called “Flavors of Moldova,” which promises to immerse viewers in the culinary richness and fascinating sights of Moldova, traveling the country from north to south. The documentary, which is already shaping up to be a true ode to Moldova’s cultural and gastronomic diversity, will be released in two separate episodes, each exploring unique aspects of this little-known but incredibly rich nation. It is slated for release in 2025.
This ambitious project is made possible thanks to the financial support of the American Foundation for Ukrainian-Moldovan Business, an organization dedicated to promoting cultural and economic exchanges between these two neighboring countries. Behind this documentary are the same talented producers who have already captivated audiences with “Flavors of Romania,” a documentary series available on Netflix.
For those who are not yet familiar with “Flavors of Romania,” it is a two-season documentary series that delves deeply into the culture, cuisine, and picturesque landscapes of Romania. The creators of this series traveled to eight historical regions of Romania, capturing the essence of each place they visited. In total, the series includes 19 episodes, ranging in length from 43 to 127 minutes, offering viewers a complete immersion in the beauty and diversity of the country.
With “Flavors of Moldova,” the producers hope not only to shine a light on Moldovan culture and culinary traditions, but also to draw attention to the hidden treasures of this small Eastern European country, often overshadowed by its larger neighbors. The documentary promises to be a visual and taste adventure that will allow viewers to discover unexpected facets of Moldova, a country with a rich history and varied influences.
