Discovery of Gagauzia

DAY TRIPS Excursion to Comrat and Ceadir-Lunga We offer you an excursion dedicated to one of the regions of Moldova: “Gagauzia”. This little-known region is located in the south of Moldova. It is populated by the Gagauz, a Turkish-speaking population largely russified and historically close to the Turks of Anatolia. Thus, they speak a Turkish dialect (but also Russian) and they are Orthodox Christians (and not Muslims). Gagauzia is an autonomous region located in the south of Moldova. Its administrative capital is Comrat, a city of 26,000 inhabitants. They speak mainly Russian and a Turkish dialect. Historically, Turkish speakers in Bulgaria, the “Gök-oğuz” or Gagauz, were established here in 1812, among the Moldovans, when the Russian Empire annexed Bessarabia. The Gagauz referred to the sky hence their original name “Gök-oğuz” (etymologically: blue or celestial tribes). – Presentation video of the city of Comrat, Gagauzia –     *Reservations required 48 hours in advance with our travel agency.

Excursion in Transnistria

TRANSNISTRIA TOUR – TRAVEL TO A COUNTRY THAT DOESN’T EXIST Have you ever crossed a border and felt like you were entering another world? Not just another country, but a place that shouldn’t exist at all. Just one hour away from Chișinău lies Transnistria — a territory with its own government, its own currency, and its own army, yet a place that officially does not exist on the world map. This is not a metaphor. It is reality. As you leave Moldova behind, the transition is almost invisible at first. However, everything soon starts to feel different. Soviet symbols appear where you don’t expect them, while the streets feel quieter, more rigid, and more controlled. At the same time, time itself seems to move differently. Before you realize it, you are no longer just visiting a place, but stepping into a system that evolved separately from the rest of Europe. This tour is not about ticking landmarks, but about understanding how a country can function without recognition, how identity survives through history, and how everyday life looks in a parallel reality. Why This Tour Is Different Most tours will show you Transnistria, but we help you feel it. You don’t just cross a border — you experience it. You don’t just see monuments — you understand their meaning. And you don’t just hear facts — you hear real stories. This is the difference between a tour and an experience. What You Will Take With You This experience stays with you, because you don’t just leave with photos. Instead, you leave with a deeper understanding of post-Soviet space, a new perspective on borders and identity, and stories you won’t hear anywhere else. Who This Tour Is For This experience is perfect if you want something truly different, are curious about history and geopolitics, and prefer real experiences over tourist clichés. Most people travel to see places, while some travel to understand them. However, only a few choose places that truly challenge reality itself. Authentic Moldova

DAY TRIPS Excursion to Curchi and Orheiul Vechi Discover Old Orhei (Orheiul Vechi) – a journey through centuries   Perfect for a day trip from Chișinău, Old Orhei is Moldova’s most famous archaeological and natural complex, located about 60 km northeast of the capital in the Orhei region. Here, history and nature intertwine in a spectacular landscape of limestone cliffs, caves, and open valleys. Visiting Old Orhei feels like stepping into a living history book. Ancient origins: traces of settlements from the Paleolithic, Eneolithic, and Iron Age. Getae fortresses (6th–3rd centuries BC), using the natural defence of cliffs. Shehr al-Jedid (“New City”) of the Golden Horde (14th century) – the remains of a once flourishing eastern town. Medieval Moldova: churches, cave monasteries, and fortified walls that made Orhei a cultural and political centre. Today, Old Orhei is an open-air museum where every stone tells a story.
