«Flavours of Moldova» is a first on Netflix
For the first time in history, the Republic of Moldova appears on Netflix, the world’s largest online television platform. The documentary «Flavours of Moldova», released on September 24, features three episodes. They reveal the country’s most delicious, beautiful, and authentic sides, including its rich cuisine, breathtaking landscapes, and the creativity of small entrepreneurs shaping Moldova’s identity today.
Created by the producers of «Flavours of Romania», the new series is presented by British journalist Charley Ottley. He is known for his Wild Carpathia documentaries that introduced Romania’s beauty to the world. Now, with «Flavours of Moldova», he invites viewers to discover Moldova’s culture, people, and flavours.
This project was made possible through a partnership between the National Association for Inbound and Domestic Tourism of Moldova (ANTRIM) and the Ukraine Moldova American Enterprise Fund (UMAEF). Thanks to this collaboration, Netflix now offers episodes dedicated exclusively to Moldova. They celebrate its traditions, gastronomy, and cultural richness. As a result, Moldova strengthens its image as an authentic and welcoming destination in Eastern Europe is a country where nature, history, and taste create unforgettable experiences.
