1. Orhei Vechi
The place is preferred by both tourists and locals. Admire the nature, try to notice if the canyon changes color during the day and definitely walk the streets of Butuceni, say hello to the locals and catch up with them to learn as much as possible.
2. The monasteries
The Orhei region has many monasteries. Each of them is more beautiful, different and interesting than the others. You can choose between monasteries, old cathedrals and even a Roman Catholic church.
3. The mansions
In the Orhei region there are several mansions, the most famous of which once belonged to the Lazo family. It is located in the village of Piatra and is oriented towards the Răut River Valley. Similarly, in Piatra there is also the Bagdasarov family mansion, and in Ivancea you will find the Balioz mansion, which includes a seven-hectare park and the Museum of Folk Crafts.
4. The house-museum “Alexandru Donici”
The museum is located in the commune of the same name and represents the birthplace of the fabulist. The complex includes the church “Adormirea Maicii Domnului”, the family tombs, but also the Stânca spring.
5. The source Jeloboc
Jeloboc flows near Răut, on a steep and rocky hill. It has the highest flow rate in the Republic of Moldova and is one of the most powerful springs in Europe.
